Horatio Smith letters, 1827-1844.

The collection consists of five letters: to Barron Field, 13 Sept. 1827, a long letter with personal news, observations, and mention of Moore's Epicurean; three letters to F.L. Slous, 1840, praising the three parts of Stray Leaves from the Scrape-Book of an Awkward Man in turn; to Dear sir, 19 Dec. 1847, encouraging him and praising his poetry.
